Description

Wrapped in caribou furs and bearskin trousers, a small party pushes a dog‑sled across the endless white of the Arctic Circle. Leading the team is the athletic Dick Kent, his eyes bright behind smoked glasses, followed by his loyal friend Sandy and the quick‑witted Indigenous boy Toma. Alongside them ride two hulking officers of the Royal Northwest Mounted Police, their rifles glinting against the low, red‑tinged sun. The harsh landscape is both beautiful and unforgiving, a white desert where each gust of wind can hide a new danger.

While the group trudges over a ridged ice field, a sudden thud and the flash of a whalebone spear erupt from their supplies, startling everyone. The mysterious weapon suggests an unseen presence—perhaps an Eskimo hunter or a renegade Taku warrior—lurking just beyond sight. Tension tightens as the men brace for a possible confrontation, their nerves as raw as the frozen air that surrounds them.
