Description

A hot August afternoon finds a weary horse and its rugged rider racing to a tiny railway station, where urgent telegrams are hurriedly dispatched. One of those messages is bound for a quiet Indiana town, destined for a young man named Bob Howard, who is about to leave school and head west. The note hints at a dangerous inheritance and a looming threat, prompting the townsfolk to brace for an unexpected turn in their ordinary lives.

When the telegram reaches Bob’s modest home, the news unsettles his family, especially his Uncle Ruben, who becomes determined to protect the boy. Together they begin to unravel clues that point toward the ominous Lost River Canyon, a place whispered about in local legend. As the first clues surface, they must decide whether to pursue the mystery or stay safe, setting the stage for a daring adventure through tangled woods, hidden dangers, and the promise of uncovering long‑kept secrets.
