Description

On a tempest‑racked night, rain hammers the ancient stone of Ehrenstein Castle as thunder rattles its ancient windows. A twenty‑one‑year‑old gentleman of modest means, dressed in a gentleman’s coat and armed with a sword and lantern, slips silently through the shadowed halls, bound for a grave, undisclosed purpose. The oppressive darkness is broken only by occasional flashes of lightning that illuminate dusty armours and grotesque stone figures, hinting at a lingering past that refuses to stay silent.

He descends deeper, opening a massive iron‑bound door that groans shut behind him, revealing a vast, forgotten hall awash with green stains and tattered banners that sway in the wind. The empty tables and vanished furnishings whisper of former grandeur, while the fluttering pennants seem to ask, “Whither, whither?” in a voice only the young explorer can hear. Listeners are drawn into a brooding mystery where the line between the living and the unseen blurs, promising further revelations about the castle’s spiritual lords and its uneasy inhabitants.
