Description

In the shadow of the rugged Alpine gorge that skirts Lago Maggiore, a world of glittering festivals and lurking danger collides. Travelers brave a treacherous pass where brigands hide among craggy cliffs, while musicians and artists fill the air with song and sketch the dramatic scenery. Against this backdrop of late‑15th‑century upheaval—a time of reborn art, fledgling science, and fierce feuds—a young woman of spirit and talent arrives, drawn by whispers of a fabled castle and the promise of a life beyond her modest origins.

She quickly learns that the same mountains that inspire beauty also shield cruelty, as power‑hungry nobles and desperate bandits vie for control of the route. Amid duels, secret meetings, and sumptuous banquets, a tender yet daring romance blossoms, challenging the conventions of a society steeped in both splendor and sin. Listeners will be carried through love‑laden corridors, perilous encounters, and the echoing drums of a restless era, experiencing the delicate balance between honor and ambition that defines her fate.
