Meanwhile, the duke, consumed by unrequited passion for the reclusive countess Olivia, surrounds himself with music, friends, and endless longing. His confidants discuss the impossible nature of his desire, setting the stage for a tangled web of affection, mistaken identities, and comedic intrigue. As Cesario steps into the duke’s inner circle, the stage is set for playful deception and surprise revelations that will keep listeners delightfully guessing.
