Description

In a kingdom torn between old loyalties and looming Roman power, a weary king watches his realm unravel. His younger daughter, a spirited and determined young woman, has defied court expectations by marrying a modest but honorable gentleman, sparking scandal among the nobles and the new queen alike. Their secret union sets the stage for a clash of personal devotion against the demands of royal duty, as whispers of betrayal echo through the palace gardens.

Meanwhile, the husband—renowned for his integrity—finds himself cast out, forced to wander far from home while the king’s court grapples with uneasy alliances and looming war. As diplomatic negotiations falter, the exiled couple’s love is tested by distance, suspicion, and the ever‑present threat of Roman conquest. Listeners are drawn into a world of shifting identities, heartfelt vows, and the fragile balance between honor and ambition, all poised on the brink of conflict.
