Description

In the opening of this dramatic masterpiece, the seasoned commander Wallenstein immerses himself in the heavens, consulting planetary charts to justify his next move. Surrounded by his loyal aide Seni, he deciphers the interplay of Mars, Jupiter and Venus, believing the stars now favor bold action. His confidence is palpable, as he prepares to turn celestial favor into a decisive strike for the empire.

The atmosphere shifts when the urgent knock of Count Terzky interrupts the ceremony. He brings unsettling news of a key confidant’s capture, hinting at a hidden network of spies and betrayals that threaten Wallenstein’s plans. The scene crackles with tension as the general must weigh his astrological calculations against the stark reality of political danger, setting the stage for a conflict where ambition, loyalty, and destiny collide.
