Description

A rain‑soaked, midnight city becomes the backdrop for a chilling discovery when a lone police captain hears a desperate cry and rushes to a dark alley. He finds a body stripped of its valuables, a mysterious assailant fleeing into the storm, and only a vague description of a “chunky‑built, roughly dressed” figure. The scene sets off a puzzling investigation, drawing the captain into a case that feels more like a personal challenge than a routine police report.

Soon a frightened young woman appears, claiming to recognize the victim, and her trembling testimony adds a new layer of urgency. As the captain pieces together clues from the crime scene and the woman's frantic recollections, the shadowy presence of an enigmatic detective—known only as “Shadow”—begins to emerge. Listeners are invited to follow the early twists of this classic mystery, where every whispered clue could lead to a hidden truth.
