In the hush of dawn, the prince’s palace awakens only to the soft chorus of birds and the golden spill of sunrise over manicured gardens. Princess Sidonie, a young woman of striking beauty, slips away from courtly duties to wander the surrounding woods she cherishes, finding brief solace among the ancient trees. Yet on this particular morning she remains confined to a quiet chamber, her thoughts heavy with an unnamed sorrow that stains her cheeks.
Clutching a delicate medallion close to her heart, Sidonie allows herself a fleeting moment of tenderness, recalling a love that seems both distant and all‑consuming. The tears that flow betray a pain that even the splendor of the palace cannot ease. A sudden rustle from an adjoining room startles her, hinting that unseen forces may soon intrude upon her private grief, and that the secrets she guards could alter the fragile peace of the court.
