Description

Set against the glittering yet oppressive world of an 18th‑century German princely court, the drama follows the tangled lives of President von Walter, his ambitious son Ferdinand, the charismatic Lady Milford, and a host of servants and confidants who move in the shadows of power. Love, ambition, and duty clash as each character pursues personal desires while the rigid hierarchy threatens to crush genuine affection. The atmosphere crackles with intrigue, hinting that no secret can stay hidden for long.

In the opening scene, we find the Miller household caught in a sudden, heated dispute. A frantic argument erupts over the fate of the Miller’s daughter, exposing the cruel reach of the court’s influence into ordinary lives. The tension between parental protection and authoritarian overreach sets the stage for a tragic struggle where love and honor are tested from the very first moment.
