Description

The story opens aboard the gleaming ocean liner Eldorado, a floating city of luxury and poverty that bridges Europe and South America. Its teak decks and polished salons host five hundred passengers from ten nations, each occupying a tier that mirrors the social strata of the world below. As the sun sets over the Atlantic, the ship becomes a stage where strangers mingle, dreams stir, and the promise of a new life ripples through the salt‑laden air.

Among the first‑class crowd stand two solitary youths, each carrying his own restless yearning. André Laurel is a blond, dreamy twenty‑year‑old whose eyes chase an ideal world beyond the horizon, while Armand Reboul is a tormented soul spurred by an old, unresolved love that drives him to chase a vanished promise across oceans. Their chance encounter hints at a volatile friendship that may tilt the balance between longing and danger as the Eldorado sails toward Buenos Aires.
