Description

In this lively retelling of a classic summer night, the bustling courts of Athens clash with the hidden realm of the forest’s fairy folk. Duke Theseus prepares for his wedding to queen Hippolyta, while three young Athenians—Hermia, Lysander and Demetrius—grapple with the stubborn dictates of law, love, and family expectations. Their heated disagreements summon a group of craftsmen, each with simple trades but big ambitions, who provide comic relief as they rehearse a play for the ducal celebration.

Beyond the city walls, the mischievous sprite Puck and the regal couples Oberon and Titania stir the woods with enchantments that promise both hilarity and heartache.
