Description

In a grand, centuries‑old manor perched on a hill overlooking the wilds of Quebec, a enigmatic visitor named Valmond arrives in immaculate black attire, his presence both refined and unsettling. He is welcomed by the charismatic Madame Chalice, a woman who blends modern elegance with an almost antiquated poise, and by the quiet hospitality of the Malboir household. Their conversation quickly turns from polite pleasantries to a probing exchange about perception, prophecy, and the lingering echo of Napoleon’s own words.

As Valmond settles into the historic salon, surrounded by antique armor, carved beams, and the lingering scent of old pine, the atmosphere brims with a subtle tension between past and present. Madame Chalice, intrigued by his cryptic questions, finds herself drawn into a delicate dance of wit and mystery, hinting at secrets hidden within the manor’s walls and the uncharted lands beyond the nearby mountains. The stage is set for a tale where history, personality, and a hint of the uncanny intertwine.
