Description

Set against the smoky backdrop of the waning Trojan war, the story follows the youthful Trojan prince who befriends the cunning Greek commander. Amid the clatter of spears and the roar of distant cannons, a fragile romance blossoms between the prince and a Trojan maiden, whose beauty and wit draw him into a world of secret meetings and whispered promises. Their love is bright yet precarious, illuminated by the fleeting moments they share beneath the city’s crumbling walls. As the war’s tide turns, the lovers must navigate a maze of loyalty, pride, and the ever‑present danger of betrayal.

The play weaves together sharp irony and bitter humor, exposing the thin line between honor and hypocrisy among soldiers and sovereigns alike. Through witty banter and pointed speeches, it questions the true cost of glory and the hollow nature of heroic myths. Listeners will be drawn into a tapestry of fierce battles, clever wordplay, and a love that struggles to survive in a world poised on the brink of ruin.

About the author

William Shakespeare

William Shakespeare

1564–1616

A playwright, poet, and actor from Stratford-upon-Avon, he created characters and lines that have stayed alive for more than four centuries. His stories of love, ambition, jealousy, power, and forgiveness still feel startlingly human.
