Description

In the dim pre‑dawn light of Winchester, a young man named Revyngton sits alone, his face pressed to his hands, the weight of a recent, fatal clash pressing on his chest. A stray arrow has ended his loyal hound’s life, and a hastily‑drawn crossbow has taken a man’s—his own—breath, leaving him a fugitive haunted by remorse. The quiet of the room is broken when a rough‑leather‑clad fletcher, Nicholas Hobbes, slips in with a quiet knock, offering a way out of the city’s looming grasp.

Their terse exchange lays bare a desperate choice: surrender to the law or slip away into the shadows of a land on the brink of war. As Hobbes hints at a network of smuggling and secret routes, the listener senses that Revyngton’s personal guilt will soon intertwine with the larger clash of armies and the famed stand of the “nine archers.” The story promises a gritty portrait of medieval loyalty, betrayal, and the thin line between redemption and ruin.
