Description

A cargo steamer bound for Tahiti is caught in a sudden, ferocious hurricane, tossing its crew and five disparate passengers into chaos. Captain Perez, a proud but weary South American skipper, fights to keep the aging vessel afloat, while the young men—McKay, his son Andy, Irish‑Canadian Terence, and the runaway apprentice Fanshaw—grapple with the storm’s relentless fury. When the mast snaps and the ensign falls, the ship drifts toward a bleak stretch of ocean that has never earned a name.

The wreck leaves the survivors stranded on an uncharted shore, where they must quickly fashion shelter and find fresh water amid thick jungle and unfamiliar wildlife. As they eke out a precarious camp, the group discovers that the island is not entirely deserted; strange sounds and distant movements hint at both hidden dangers and unexpected allies. With limited supplies and the memory of the raging sea still fresh, they begin a desperate fight for survival, navigating trust, leadership, and the raw challenge of an untamed wilderness.
