Description

Sixteen‑year‑old Reginald Trevena lives in a centuries‑old Cornish manor that still bears the marks of his seafaring ancestors—swords, a silver‑braided hat, and tales of daring battles. The family’s fortunes have waned, and the latest letter from his Uncle Herbert hints that the elusive treasure of the Spanish ship San Philipo might finally be within reach. With a lineage steeped in naval legend, Reg’s excitement is matched only by the weight of expectation that this quest could restore his house to its former glory.

The adventure begins as Reg pores over the log of the privateer Anne, the vessel his forefather Humphrey once commanded on a daring pursuit of the treasure‑laden San Philipo. The cryptic entries and a mysterious cipher promise a perilous journey across sea and savanna, hinting at hidden dangers and unexpected allies. As the first clues surface, Reg finds himself poised on the brink of an expedition that will test his courage, wits, and the very spirit of the Trevena family.
