Description

In the glittering yet decaying courts of Vandal‑ruled Carthage, a covert chronicler slips secret observations onto fragile parchment, fearing the watchful eyes of the imperial capital. He writes from Constantinople, half‑confessing his true feelings about the fragile alliance between the conquering Romans and the once‑indomitable Vandal warriors. As rumors of a new war against the Vandals spread, his diary becomes a risky testament to the shifting loyalties, cultural decadence, and looming clash that could reshape the Mediterranean.

Against this backdrop move a cast of vivid figures: the calculating Roman envoy Verus, the fierce warrior Zazo, and Hilda, a fearless Ostrogoth princess whose beauty masks a steel resolve. Intrigue swirls around the scheming Justinian and his ambitious Empress Theodora, while the legendary general Belisarius looms as a potential catalyst for change. Their intertwined ambitions and the religious rivalry between Catholic and Arian factions set the stage for a dramatic confrontation that will test honor, faith, and the very destiny of empires.
