Description

In a rugged fjord of tenth‑century Iceland, a gifted youth named Halfred wrestles with a restless spirit that drives him to master both the harp and the blade. Blessed—or perhaps cursed—by a whispered promise of victory, he fashions a unique strain of song that no other can imitate, while his prowess with hatchet and arrow earns him renown among his peers. When his father’s hall passes into his hands, Halfred abandons the safety of tradition, obsessively dreaming of a grand dragon ship marked by a silver swan prow, a vessel that might carry his music and his war‑cry across distant seas.

The tale follows Halfred as the enigmatic ship appears on the horizon, its empty decks echoing the silhouette of his long‑held vision. He and his loyal followers board the vessel, feeling the weight of destiny and the pull of ancient prophecy. From this point, Halfred sets out to test the limits of his dual talents, seeking fame, fortune, and the ultimate marriage of sword and song.
