Kenwick awakens alone in a desolate canyon, his leg throbbing and his clothes tangled with burrs. The ragged landscape is a stark collage of twisted manzanita, fallen madrone roots and a shard of blood‑spattered glass that hints at a violent crash. With only fragments of memory to cling to, he limps toward the nearest road, driven by the hope that a passing car might rescue him.
The road leads him to an imposing, iron‑gated estate whose stone walls and climbing vines give it the feel of an isolated castle. Locked and foreboding, the mansion looms as the only possible refuge in a wilderness that seems to have swallowed him whole. As Kenwick gathers the courage to seek help, the listener is pulled into a tense search for answers—who caused the accident, what lies hidden behind the estate’s walls, and whether any aid will arrive before his injuries become fatal.
