Description

The storm has finally passed over the West Indies, leaving shattered ships and mangled palms in its wake. A crippled destroyer limps out of Coral Bay, its half‑gone funnels puffing stubborn clouds of smoke, while a tight‑knit crew of naval officers, a daring deep‑sea diver, and two intrepid boys scramble to mend the vessel and press on. Their bond is forged by a series of earlier exploits in which a pair of teenage radio enthusiasts helped the Secret Service bust an international gang of smugglers, saboteurs, and agitators.

Now, guided by cryptic radio transmissions and a gut feeling from their diver, the group follows a suspicious tramp steamer toward a remote island. There they encounter a charismatic Dutch naturalist whose involvement with the “reds” raises more questions than answers. As the detectives navigate treacherous jungles, hidden caves, and the lingering threat of the storm‑torn arch‑criminal, they must rely on wits, courage, and the faint static of their radios to stay one step ahead.
