Description

Inspector Barker, a seasoned officer of the Royal North‑West Mounted Police, begins his day as he always does in the dusty town of Medicine Hat: watching the Calgary express pull into the station while he scribbles his weekly report. When a sudden telephone call interrupts his routine with news of a murder that took place at the remote T‑Inverted R, the inspector’s methodical calm turns into sharp focus. He must sift through scattered clues, half‑finished notes, and the murmurs of townsfolk to piece together who was killed and why.

Set against the wide‑open prairies and the clatter of steam trains, the story launches into a classic western mystery where rugged landscapes mask hidden motives. As Barker pulls on his uniform and steps out of his office, listeners are drawn into a world of rustlers, railroad intrigue, and the relentless pursuit of justice in a place where every mouthful of dust could conceal a secret.
