Description

Rick Brant and his best friend Don Scott are teenage explorers who blend curiosity with daring. While the heat of the Asiatic Dream swelters the ship’s cabin, the two boys battle each other over a three‑dimensional chess set, a game that sharpens the quick thinking they’ll need for what lies ahead. Their companion, Dr. Anthony Briotti, a veteran of wartime service turned archaeologist, points them toward the looming silhouette of Corregidor, hinting that a legendary treasure buried in the Philippines may soon surface.

When a sudden flash of steel cuts across the deck, the trio’s daring game turns into a life‑or‑death scramble as a shadowy attacker strikes, revealing the presence of hostile head‑hunters. The incident drags them into the rugged world of the Ifugao highlands, where an ancient golden skull is said to guard a secret older than any modern science. Alongside their quick‑witted Indian friend Chahda, Rick and Don must balance clever problem‑solving with raw courage to survive the perilous hunt.
