Description

Rip Foster has just earned his lieutenant’s stripes in the elite Special Order Squadrons, and a booming horn summons him aboard the massive space platform Scorpius. Fresh from six years of grueling training, he and a dozen fellow Planeteers share a mix of swagger and nervous anticipation as they prepare for their first real mission beyond the orbital lab. The ceremony with Major Joe Barris sets the tone: the cadets are hailed as “supermen” but reminded they’re still just “simps” in the eyes of hardened spacemen.

Once the ship lifts off, the new officers must navigate a ship’s rigid hierarchy, survive relentless hazing, and keep one step ahead of the ruthless Connies, a faction bent on dragging the galaxy into war. With the vacuum of space as their arena, Rip’s quick wit and daring crew face danger at every turn, promising a thrilling ride that tests loyalty, courage, and the true meaning of being a Planeteer.
