Description

In the shadow of the looming Franco‑Prussian conflict, the Russian empire reels from a violent plot on the emperor’s life. A bomb explodes on a remote road, killing guards and scattering the royal carriage, while the mastermind—a daring nihilist—vanishes into the night. A web of covert agents from Russia and Poland is deployed across Europe, each step of the chase tangled in secrecy and danger.

Against this turbulent backdrop, a seasoned operative finds himself on a storm‑battered train from Paris to London. Huddled in a dim cabin, he shares a simple broth with a mysterious stranger wrapped in a heavy fur coat, cigar smoke curling around a basin of tea. The encounter hints at deeper conspiracies, as the stranger’s inscrutable gaze suggests knowledge of the elusive assassin and the perilous game of espionage that follows. Listeners are drawn into a world of clandestine intrigue, where every glance may conceal a deadly secret.
