Description

A bright‑eyed teen reporter with a knack for getting into the middle of things, Penny Parker balances school, a part‑time job at the family newspaper, and a restless curiosity that keeps her on the move. After a triumphant bowling night with her friend Louise, she’s reminded of a looming deadline and the promise she made to her editor. Her quick‑step stride and sharp wit make her a natural sleuth, always ready to chase the next story.

When a police broadcast about a disturbance at the city’s First National Bank crackles over a nearby radio, Penny’s instincts kick in. She and Louise race to the scene, only to find the bank’s doors shut and its interior eerily quiet. Inside, faint murmurs echo off the marble walls, hinting at secrets hidden behind locked teller cages and shadowed corridors. With the clock ticking and a mystery unfolding, Penny must decide whether to follow the whispers or wait for official clearance, setting the stage for a suspenseful adventure that blends teenage determination with a town’s buried enigmas.
