Description

In the stark outback of South Australia, a modest hut clings to the endless grey grasslands, its plain walls lit by a single lamp. Inside, an older man named Harding and a restless younger worker called Gray share a cramped space strewn with simple furniture, a photograph of a distant family, and a shelf of rifles. Their conversations drift between weary fatigue and a simmering resentment, painting a picture of life on a remote grazing station where duty feels as heavy as the sun‑baked earth.

Gray's eyes betray a growing desperation; he talks of abandoning the station, of a gun he could use to end his suffering, while Harding offers quiet counsel about honor and perseverance. Beneath the surface, hints of a hidden past and a dangerous secret begin to surface, suggesting that the simple frontier may conceal a darker, outlawing world. Listeners are drawn into the tension between survival, conscience, and the lure of a life beyond the horizon.
