Description

Two teenage step‑brothers from the wide‑open ranches of Texas have swapped the prairie for a sleek, newly‑built aircraft. When their plane touches down in the remote southern reaches of Quebec, they are met by Sergeant Bradshaw, a seasoned Canadian mounted policeman, who questions their sudden appearance and the motives behind their flight. The boys, Jim and Bob, explain a tangled family reunion that has led them across the border, but the officer remains uneasy, hinting at the shadow of smuggling and illegal crossings that haunt the region.

As the conversation unfolds, the youths reveal a surprising blend of ranch life, school‑room ambition, and a budding love of flying, all tied to a mysterious aunt who runs a tourist inn on a nearby island. Their story is peppered with hints of old grudges, secret deals, and a horse named Patrick that seems to sense more than it should. Listeners are invited to follow the step‑brothers as they navigate the thin line between innocent adventure and the hidden dangers that lurk along the border.
