Reddy Fox lives with his wise, sly Granny, who decides it’s time he learns the art of foxcraft. She takes him on daily excursions across the meadow, through the forest, and onto a long, rickety railroad bridge that initially sends the young fox’s head spinning with fear. By pretending a hound is on his heels, Granny forces Reddy to sprint across, turning terror into a lesson in courage and quick thinking.
As the weeks pass, the bridge becomes a training ground where Granny teaches Reddy clever tricks for outwitting dogs and snatching chickens without being caught. Each run builds his confidence, yet the lingering scent of danger keeps him alert. Listeners will enjoy watching Reddy’s growth from a timid pup to a bolder, though sometimes careless, little fox, all under the watchful eye of his ever‑resourceful Granny.
