A restless wind sweeps across the jagged isles of the Finnish archipelago, tossing foam‑capped waves against craggy rocks. On a lone outcrop, a twisted pine forest clings to the cliffs, its gnarled trunks bearing the scars of countless storms. From a small hut, a young man keeps a vigilant watch, hoping to catch a glimpse of a distant sail that has haunted his thoughts. The gray sky and rolling clouds lend the scene a tense, almost prophetic atmosphere.
When a battered rowing boat finally appears, its oars cutting through the churning sea, the youth rushes to the shore and is drawn aboard. The crew is a mix of hardened locals and a few uneasy strangers, whispering about a Swedish‑bound merchant named Aron Borisoff and the presence of drunken Russian sailors. The young man is asked to steer the vessel through the treacherous shoals, his knowledge of the hidden reefs making him indispensable. As night deepens, the muted conversations hint at hidden motives and a looming clash, setting the stage for a perilous adventure.
