Description

Three lively sub‑lieutenants—Denbigh, Stirling and O’Hara—find themselves back on home waters after a stint in the tangled islands of the South Pacific. Their journey home aboard the Japanese liner Nichi Maru turns abruptly into a wartime scramble when the ship is seized, thrusting the young officers into an unexpected rescue by a British monitor. Their banter and camaraderie shine even as they confront the stark reality of naval warfare and the looming threat of German submarines.

Now tasked with hunting a cunning German raider, the trio must navigate hostile seas, decipher cryptic messages and coordinate daring maneuvers with their fellow sailors. The early chapters blend light‑hearted bravado with the tension of a high‑stakes chase, setting the stage for a gripping adventure across the Atlantic and beyond. Listeners will be drawn into the sound of engines, the clang of artillery and the steadfast resolve of three friends determined to protect their nation’s waters.
