Description

Violet spends her days perched in a bright, turret‑shaped window that looks out over a bustling street. From there she watches children play, gathers fresh crocuses and violets, and shares a quiet smile with anyone who pauses to admire her purple dress. Though she cannot walk or run like the other kids, the love of her mother and the simple joys of the garden keep her world vibrant.

When Violet’s mother passes away, the flowers that once brought comfort now stir a deep sorrow, and the window becomes a place of both memory and longing. A teasing remark from a neighborhood boy, calling her a “little hunchback,” forces her to confront the harshness of the world beyond her pane. Yet even in tears, Violet’s quiet determination shines, hinting at the hope and courage that will guide her through the challenges ahead.
