In the glittering world of early‑19th‑century Paris, the dashing Viscount Antonino de Bizeux swears he has healed the feverish love that once seized his heart. Obsessed with the brilliant soprano Linda—celebrated as the star of the opera—he resolves to attend the highly anticipated performance of Les Huguenots, hoping the evening will finally prove he is truly free of her spell.
The night unfolds under the grand chandeliers of the Théâtre de l’Opéra, where Linda’s voice soars through the hall, stirring both awe and a baffling mixture of joy and unease in the aristocrat. Mid‑act, a sudden wisp of smoke curls from the stage, and the theater erupts into panic as flames threaten the very place that has become his obsession. Antonino, torn between his lingering affection and the growing danger, rushes through the chaos, caught in a moment that could change everything.
