In a quiet farmstead tucked away from the fields of Norola, the night begins with a startling clatter that rouses both animal and human. Jere and his wife Vilhelmiina argue over the strange sounds their cat has made, while the old house creaks with memories of unseen visitors. The atmosphere feels both intimate and unsettling, as the couple’s mundane routine is pierced by whispers of something larger lurking just beyond the doorway.
When an eerie, bear‑like presence seems to materialise from the shadows, the pair are forced to confront a series of unsettling visions that blur the line between dream and reality. Their son Nehe, half‑asleep with a book in his lap, becomes the unexpected anchor to a world that feels suddenly fragile. As the clock strikes the early hours, the household’s ordinary concerns turn into a furtive search for answers—setting the stage for a tale that weaves folklore, domestic life, and quiet dread into a compelling Finnish countryside mystery.
