Description

In a modest seaside hamlet, the tiny yet bright‑eyed Fluorine lives with her father, a humble fisherman, her older sister Basilikí, and a newborn brother. After a storm wrecks the father's boat and leaves him bruised and helpless, the family’s fragile routine is shattered, and a sudden letter from his own ailing father forces Fluorine to confront a choice between staying at home and caring for the sick elder. Determined and compassionate, she volunteers to make the long trek across rugged hills to reach her grandfather’s distant farm, hoping her small steps might stitch together the broken bonds of her family.

The tale unfolds with gentle, lyrical language that captures both the harshness of poverty and the luminous resilience of a child’s heart. Listeners will be drawn into the everyday hardships of Greek coastal life, the lyrical rhythm of old‑world customs, and the tender bravery of a young girl who dares to carry hope across mountains and seas.
