About the author

Snorri Sturluson

d. 1241

A towering figure in medieval Iceland, this writer and statesman helped preserve the myths, poetry, and royal histories that shape how many readers imagine the Norse world today. His work remains one of the clearest windows into Old Norse storytelling and belief.
