Description

A curious king named Gylfi—renowned for his wisdom and love of riddles—ventures to the realm of the gods, hidden beneath a glittering hall whose ceiling glitters like golden shields. Disguised as a weary traveler, he is led into a magnificent chamber where three seated figures await, each occupying a throne higher than the last. There, the mysterious host called Gangleri asks the first of them, Hárr, to reveal the name and nature of the supreme deity, opening a dialogue that unravels the origins of the world.

The conversation quickly turns to the birth of the cosmos: a yawning void, the clash of fire and ice, and the emergence of rivers and realms beyond human sight. As the gods recount how the first being fashioned the heavens, the earth, and even the soul that breathes life into mankind, Gylfi’s questions grow ever deeper. Listeners are drawn into a primeval tapestry of myth, where curiosity meets divine revelation and the ancient Finnish‑Nordic imagination comes alive.
