Description

Dorothy Dixon is a spirited young aviator who spends her summers swapping jokes with friends on a bustling beach club, all while keeping her scarlet bathing cap and sleek wetsuit as her signature look. When a mysterious amphibian seaplane suddenly glides low over the water, the crowd erupts in laughter and panic, but Dorothy’s eyes stay fixed on the sleek hull. She watches the plane settle a short distance away, its engine humming, and senses that something about this aircraft doesn’t belong to the local crowd. Her curiosity is instantly piqued, especially since it matches the very model she just earned her pilot’s license to fly.

Driven by a blend of daring and a love for all things airborne, Dorothy slips into the water and swims toward the stranger’s craft, determined to learn who’s behind the daily aerial intrusions. The mystery plane appears every afternoon, tracing a silent path across Long Island Sound, and its enigmatic pilot seems intent on keeping a secret. As Dorothy draws nearer, the promise of a new adventure—and perhaps a clue to a hidden story—begins to take shape.
