Description

A hushed, uncanny night cloaks the ancient world, plunging Rome and the surrounding lands into a total, almost supernatural darkness. In this stillness, Emperor Augustus, frail and carried in a chair, leads a small retinue up the Capitoline hill for a secret nocturnal offering—ducks, incense, and other ritual items—to seek the favor of his personal genius before a new temple can rise.

At the summit, the procession encounters a towering, timeless figure perched on the rock’s edge: a sibyl of legendary age, her eyes shielded, seemingly frozen yet fully aware of events far beyond the mortal realm. Her presence sparks whispered speculation among the emperor’s companions, hinting at an ominous prophecy that may foretell the rise of a figure who will mirror Christ in a dark, deceptive way. The narrative weaves historical intrigue with apocalyptic anticipation, inviting listeners to follow the unfolding mystery as ancient powers and future destinies begin to intersect.
