Description

A curious ten‑year‑old named Danny has just swapped smoky London streets for a quiet country village, where a thatched cottage, humming honeysuckle and the shadow of an ancient abbey spark his imagination. Already nicknamed “Danny the Detective,” he spends his days turning everyday sights into clues, practicing Morse code, and dreaming of Sherlock‑style investigations. When he meets Dick Church, the cheerful stable‑boy who leads the local Boy Scout troop, Danny discovers a new way to turn his love of mysteries into real‑world skills.

Eager to join the Wolf Cubs, Danny learns about tracking, signalling and first‑aid while sharing gooseberries in a dusty straw loft. The promise of secret codes, hidden passages and woodland adventures fuels his excitement, setting the stage for a series of youthful escapades that blend classic detective curiosity with the camaraderie of scouting. Listeners will feel the thrill of a budding sleuth ready to tackle whatever puzzles the countryside throws his way.
