Description

In the midst of a relentless winter, a small Norman town reels under a crust of ice that turns fields into shattered mirrors and drifts into makeshift sleds for restless schoolchildren. The ever‑present cold pushes the townsfolk into a rhythm of hunting, trapping, and odd pastimes: men in fox‑fur caps stake out the marshes for waterfowl, a clock‑maker turned caretaker fills his home with red‑breasted songbirds, and a one‑eyed police commissioner spends his meager wages catching frogs for his evening meals.

Against this frosty backdrop, a cast of vivid personalities—hard‑working farmers, mischievous youths, and eccentric officials—interweave their daily struggles and small triumphs, each finding a sliver of adventure in the bleak season. Their quirky rituals and quiet rivalries reveal a community bound by both hardship and humor, inviting listeners to step into a world where even the harshest cold cannot freeze the pulse of rural life.
