Description

A group of eager teenage Boy Scouts from New York’s affluent Black Bear Patrol gathers in a lavish clubroom, buzzing with plans for a daring adventure beyond their usual camping trips. Led by the seasoned Ned Nestor and spurred by youthful bravado, they persuade a Secret Service lieutenant to let them accompany his covert mission to the Panama Canal’s Gatun Dam, a strategic point now rumored to be under threat.

The boys, armed with a mix of sports gear, makeshift weapons, and boundless curiosity, are drawn into a web of intrigue that hints at sabotage and international tension. As they prepare for the journey, their banter masks a genuine desire to prove themselves useful, setting the stage for a youthful quest that could influence a critical piece of engineering history.
