Description

Betty Gordon arrives at a breezy mountain camp, eager to trade city streets for pine‑scented trails and fresh snow. Her curiosity is sparked by a colorful shop window and a quiet girl stitching a silk over‑blouse, hinting that even ordinary moments can conceal secrets. As she settles among cabins and friendly counselors, Betty’s upbeat spirit draws the other campers into her circle.

Soon the cheerful routine is interrupted by the puzzling disappearance of Ida Bellethorne, a shy newcomer who vanishes after a night walk on the frozen lake. Determined to help, Betty teams up with her new friends, using keen observation and a love of riddles to piece together clues hidden in the camp’s winding trails. The mystery unfolds against the backdrop of icy winds, snow‑shoes, and a lively campfire, promising a gentle adventure that tests her resourcefulness while keeping the story’s warm, wholesome tone.
