Description

The story opens with a confident letter from a former battlefield commander turned Maharajah, who now rules a sprawling Indian kingdom. In his missive to a French scientific academy he reports the discovery of the legendary manuscript Gouroukaramta—a text claimed to predate even the biblical flood. He mixes scholarly pride with vivid personal detail, noting the massive forces at his disposal and the quirky honor he has created, the Order of the Tigress, to celebrate his daring companion Louison.

Beyond the letter, the narrative shifts to the deck of the Fils de la Tempête, where the ship’s charismatic commander Kaï Kermadeuc prepares to bring the Maharajah’s reports to a wider audience. The captain’s blend of nautical skill, dry humor, and unflappable ambition promises a series of encounters across mountains, valleys, and storm‑tossed seas. Listeners can expect a lively mix of exotic travel, earnest scientific curiosity, and the bold, slightly eccentric heroism of a man who has traded swords for manuscripts.
