Description

Joseph Bindle is a down‑to‑earth furniture remover whose good‑natured meddling lands him at the centre of a bustling London neighbourhood. Whether he’s hawking a neighbour’s shop, turning a lady’s drawing‑room into soldiers’ billets, or juggling two tenants in a single flat, Bindle’s knack for practical jokes and earnest problem‑solving keeps everyone on their toes. Old friends like the gloomy Ginger, the scheming Wilkes and the ever‑impatient Mr. Hearty pop in and out, turning ordinary errands into comic escapades.

The story opens with Mrs. Bindle announcing a new lodger after answering a newspaper ad, a revelation that sets off a chain of misunderstandings over stew, pies and misplaced expectations. As Bindle watches the domestic drama unfold, he soon finds himself drawn into the lodger’s mysterious arrival and the ripple effects it creates across the community. Expect a lively mix of witty dialogue, quirky characters and the charming chaos that follows wherever Bindle goes.
