Acton's Feud: A Public School Story

Set in the hallowed grounds of a traditional English public school, the story opens on a crisp Thursday when the whole school gathers for a rare football match. The headmaster has enforced the ancient “Socker” rules, yet the newer Association game has begun to creep in, creating a clash between stubborn tradition and the lure of modern sport. This tension fuels the excitement of the day, as pupils and masters alike watch the field for signs of change.

At the centre of the contest is Acton, a fifth‑year boy whose brilliance on the pitch is matched only by his enigmatic reputation. Known for dazzling runs, a sharp kick and a fiery temper, he commands the admiration of his housemates while remaining something of a mystery to the older students.
