A young English traveler finds himself stranded in a dense, fragrant pine forest after a long, exhausting walk. He wakes on a bed of bracken, cold and alone, with only the distant echo of rails to remind him of civilization. The silence is broken by the sudden arrival of a dark‑green coach and soldiers, turning the quiet wilderness into a scene of unexpected activity.
Curiosity and caution vie within him as he watches men in cloaks and a mysterious figure with a writing portfolio exchange hurried words before disappearing onto the train. A stray sheet of paper flutters into the underbrush, unnoticed, hinting at secrets hidden among the trees. As trains whisper past and tension rises, he must decide whether to stay hidden or step into a world of covert danger. The forest, once a simple adventure, now feels like a stage for a larger, unseen conflict.
