Description

In a sun‑kissed June morning on the Breton coastline, the Kerhélo family gathers for the baptism of little Yves, a plump, curious infant swaddled in the bright folk costumes of Fouesnant. The church bells ring over golden gorse and misty fields, while his sister Corentine watches with wide‑eyed delight, already dreaming of the celebrations to come. Life in the village rolls on in a steady rhythm: a father who hauls the sea’s bounty, a mother tending garden and hearth, and children who grow under the watchful eyes of teachers who see promise in Corentine’s quick mind and Yves’s cheerful grin.

As Yves matures, his boundless curiosity pushes him beyond schoolrooms and into the wild tides of adventure. With his steadfast friend Alain Le Pennec, he wanders the cliffs and beaches, stumbling upon a half‑buried wreck that whispers of hidden timber, copper and iron. The boys’ excitement hints at a larger quest, promising a blend of youthful daring and the rugged charm of a coastal world where every discovery may reshape their futures.
