Description

In the heat of the Spanish‑American conflict, a daring American sailor—known only as Young Glory—has become a legend among his comrades. Alongside his steadfast friend Dan Daly, he leads daring raids from the decks of the cruiser Brooklyn, earning a reputation for boldness that spreads across the Caribbean islands.

When a landing party is ambushed near a small Cuban village, Dan finds himself captured and condemned as a spy. Even as Spanish officers prepare his execution, his unshakable bravado shines through; he defies his captors, demanding a meeting with his famed friend before death can claim him. The tense standoff hints at a possible rescue, setting the stage for a gripping clash of courage and resolve that will test the limits of loyalty and patriotism.

Walter Fenton Mott

Best known for fast-moving adventure fiction from the dime-novel era, this writer is remembered today for tales of naval action and youthful daring. The surviving record is thin, which only adds a little mystery to a career tied to popular fiction of the 1890s.
