Description

In the midst of a ferocious Pacific tempest, Lieutenant Collin clings to the helm of the schooner Nuova Georgia, haunted by a blood‑curdling scream that seems to rise from the very sea itself. The storm’s black, ink‑like waves crash over the deck, while the crew—led by the hulking, decisive captain and a grizzled old sailor—struggle to keep the vessel upright. As the ship heaves and the wind howls, they realize a lone figure may have been swept overboard, a mystery that deepens the tension in an already chaotic night.

Driven by a fierce sense of duty and personal honor, Collin orders an immediate rescue despite the impossible conditions, rallying his men to brace the rigging and set a daring course toward the unknown. The captain’s resolve is unshakable; he refuses to let the ocean’s fury claim another soul, even as the waves threaten to tear the ship apart. Listeners will be drawn into the claustrophobic drama of survival, leadership, and the eerie unknown that lurks beneath the storm‑tossed surface.

Emilio Salgari

1862–1911

Best known for creating Sandokan and other larger-than-life heroes, this Italian novelist filled his stories with pirates, jungles, and faraway seas. His books helped shape the classic adventure tale and still carry the energy of old-fashioned page-turners.
